Home Station – Privacy Policy

Overview

Home Station is an Alexa skill that reads current weather conditions from a personal WeeWX weather station and speaks them aloud. This policy describes what data the skill does and does not collect.

Data We Do Not Collect

The Home Station skill does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. Specifically:

• No Amazon account information is accessed or retained.
• No voice recordings or transcripts are stored by this skill.
• No device identifiers, location data, or usage history are logged.
• No account linking is required or available.

Weather Data

The skill retrieves current weather readings (temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction, dew point) from a privately operated WeeWX weather station. This data is cached briefly to reduce latency and is not associated with any user identity.

Third-Party Services

The skill backend runs on Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare may log request metadata (IP address, timestamp) in accordance with their own privacy policy. This skill has no control over Cloudflare's infrastructure logging.

Children's Privacy

This skill is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date.
